About the Author
The Benedictine Nuns of Perpetual Adoration are a monastic community with a ministry dedicated to prayer. A must reading for all those involved in develop.ped.therap.

An excellent text presenting two of the most popular therapeutic paradigms in the contemporary developmental pediatric therapies, the NDT and the SI approach. Based on a sound scientific background the authors present an eclectic and holistic approach (a combination of the above paradigms) to the treatment of cerebral palsy, autism & fragile X, down syndrome etc. Along with Lois Bly's and Jean Ayre's books a MUST READING for all those involved in developmental pediatric therapies.

Excellent resource tool for OT working in private practice!

Working in a private practice clinic with heavy use of sensory integration techniques, this book was an excellent adjunct to many of the motor impairments and movement-based concerns I have with many of my kiddos. The combination of NDT and SI seemed to "fill in the gaps" of many of my unanswered questions from therapy sessions. Highly recommend for the OT in a clinic setting!

Clearly written, without alot of jargon. I wish a book like this had been around when I when I was going through architecture school 30 years ago. If you want to take a more active role in your own education and have a clearer understanding of the aims of your professors when they assign you projects, this book should be a big help to you.
