Explore your true self and intuition when stuck in a rut.

I never liked journaling and found no use for it, except feeling stupid and having nothing that seemed significant to write about. THIS BOOK turns THE NON-JOURNALER INTO A WRITER by helping you work through your feelings with prompts and ideas that really make you think. After just 8 days into the 40 I made some major realizations and had to stop myself from rushing through it. But the main idea of the book is to help you to slow down and listen to yourself.

Wonderful Journal for Self-Discovery

I had this book for three years and had not used it. While in India for one month, I decided to give the book a try. It was the best journal to write in at the best time possible. It helped to change my life. I absolutely love it! The questions are thought provoking and there are a few things that you might not want to write about. You will find some of the questions a little tough to answer, but the insight you will gain from writing about "scary" topics is amazing. As you complete the journal you will find out so much about yourself and what is really important to you.

One of the better ones I think

This is basically a spriritual workbook/journal. It's not just a blank book, but an actual guided workbook that asks you questions and gives you exercises. This would be a great journal to bring with you on a 40 day meditation or yoga retreat (if you can afford to go off and leave work for that long)... but a book like this is also very good for people who can't get away from work for that long and yet still want to take a 40 day retreat without turning into a monk for 40 days and leaving their lives completely. It asks you to take 15 minutes a day at least for the next 40 days to be alone with yourself, without any other distractions and just be with yourself rather than be the "you" that your family and everyone else expects you to be- which more times than not is so convincing we often start to believe that we really are that person they expect, when in reality that is just a shell that your family and environment has molded over the real you. The author mentions many different religions in the beginning of the book, but it's obvious in the writing that she feels the strongest connection with Judaism. Those who are Jewish or feel a connection to it in some way may appreciate this however people of other faiths are definitely not excluded.
